James Corden drove around New York in a car full of talented theatre stars in the latest installment of Carpool Karaoke.

A former Tony winner himself, Corden's roots are in theatre.

He'll return to his origins on Sunday night as he hosts the Tony Awards 2016 in New York. And to prepare for the upcoming gig, he roped a few Broadway stars into joining him for The Late Late Show's latest installment of (everybody's favourite feature), Carpool Karaoke.

Lin-Manuel Miranda, the creator and star of this year's Broadway smash, Hamilton, kicked off the show singing What’s your name, man? - with Corden providing some excellent raps.

In the backseat were star of Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, Jane Krakowski, who won a Tony in 2003 for her role in Nine; Modern Family star and theatre veteran Jesse Tyler Ferguson; and Audra McDonald who currently holds the record for most Tonys ever won... so eh, a pretty talented bunch?

The roadtrip buddies sang songs from popular musicals such as Rent, Jersey Boys and Les Miserables finale song, One Day More, as they drove around Manhattan.

Keep watching until the very end to hear the trill McDonald on the final note, in a moment in which we can all join in with a shocked Lin-Manuel Miranda shouting, "WHAT?!" - McDonald can hit those high notes.
