Daniel O'Donnell's fans are known for being of the particularly ardent variety but one Irish B&B owner has shown just how exciting it is to meet the man himself.

UTV Ireland has released a clip of the singer and his wife Majella arriving at the B&B of Anne Sheerin and her husband Noel in the first episode of their new series Daniel and Majella's B&B Road Trip.

Anne is overwhelmed to find Daniel pulling in to her driveway and repeatedly exclaims, "He's outside!  Daniel's here!" as Noel looks on in support.

Anne, who lives in Tulsk, County Roscommon, is a huge Daniel fan, probably one of his biggest if her reaction is anything to go by!

The new series sees the couple stopping off at rest houses across the country, many of which are run by the singer's fans.

Later in the episode Anne, Noel, Daniel and Majella get dressed up for a night on the town at Tulsk's Country Ballroom which attracts over 200 locals every week.

During filming for the six part series (which kicks off on UTV Ireland on Monday, October 26 at 8pm) Daniel was ambushed by fans wherever he stayed.

"Within minutes of him turning up, the door bell would be ringing with local fans turning up wanting autographs." a source told The irish Sun.

"It was the worst kept secret in history. It was pure chaos."

Throughout the series, viewers will see Daniel and Majella take part in a range of unexpected activities, including tractor racing in Enniskerry, paddle-boarding in Bantry Bay, rocking out at a house party in Newtownabby, and playing football in Gort’s very own Anfield Stadium.

Viewers will also see the couple going in search of leprechauns in Carlingford with Ireland’s last remaining leprechaun whisperer.
