A new House of Cards clip cleverly charts the contrast between Frank Underwood as he presents himself to the world and the reality of the man.

The clip, promoting the upcoming season four, shows Frank (Kevin Spacey) making his pitch for the presidency, telling the American people what kind of president they deserve.

"They say we get the leaders we deserve," he says. "Well here's what I think America deserves: A leader whose not afraid to look you in the eye and tell you what he believes. I believe in putting people first. I believe in putting America back on track. I believe in opening doors. And I'm willing to work with both sides so that we all get what we want."

Frank's formal address is cut with snippets of Frank behaving badly behind the scenes, doing things completely at odds with what he says.

"I'm a humble man, I've never forgotten where I come from," he continues.

"I've taken my licks but I've never taken your support for granted. I believe in pointing people in the right direction but in the end we should all be free to make our own decisions. They say we get the leaders we deserve. I think America deserves Frank Underwood. And in your heart, you know I'm right."

The show returns on March 4 with 23 new episodes.
