Violent scenes on 'Fair City' as Paul finds out Niamh is leaving him for Michael

There are dramatic scenes on Fair City tonight as the Paul, Michael, and Niamh love triangle culminates in a violent attack on the streets of Carrigstown.
Unsurprisingly, Paul Brennan is stunned when Niamh reveals she is leaving him for another man and is livid when Niamh admits the other man is Michael.
In a fit of rage he heads out onto the street in search of his love rival and Niamh hurries after him, terrified of what he might do.
Meanwhile, Michael is bracing himself as he tells his parents he's moving in with Niamh and soon hears the commotion out on the street as Niamh pleads with Paul to stop.
Michael confronts Paul and Pete tries to act as peacemaker when Michael and Paul attack each other.
However, the fight escalates when Paul grabs a metal pipe from the skip and threatens Michael. Rachel tries to intervene and Paul almost hits her, which shocks him into stopping.
The realisation of what she has done hits Niamh and she's forced to choose between her family and Michael in front of everyone in the street.
