Tonight's Fair City will feature violent scenes as an incensed Robbie attacks Dan after Dan admits he raped Aoife.

Carol agrees to let Robbie out after he promises he won't go after Dan, but Robbie when he sees just how upset Karen is he sets out to find Dan.

In the meantime Carol tells Aoife that Robbie knows about the rape and they both go in search of him.

Robbie has already found Dan, however, and as Dan packs his bags, Robbie violently attacks him, pulling him from his wheelchair on to the ground.

Dan is helpless against him but Aoife, Carol, and Cristiano arrive as they fight and work together to break them up.

Carol feels betrayed by Robbie for breaking his promise not to go after Dan.  Dan, however, is overcome with guilt and says he will hand himself in to the Gardai.

"Tensions have been simmering for quite some time now between Dan and Robbie and in tonight's episode it hits boiling point," says Steve Gunn, who plays Dan.

"Karl Shiels who plays Robbie is a great actor and we have a genuine friendship off screen so we had to put that to one side on the day of filming. It looks like things will never be the same again between Dan and Robbie."

Elsewhere in Carrigstown tonight, Kerri-Ann loses with with Ama for interfering in her relationship with Decco.  Ama refuses to make peace with her but she realises she can't tell Decco the truth.  She agrees not to reveal the truth about the affair but tells Kerri-Ann their friendship is over.

Paul is also stressed as he wonders how he will tell Ruth the truth about Niamh.  Meanwhile, Dean tells Leo he's confident he was won Paul over.  Nicola plans to turn Vino’s into a cash cow by turning it into a takeaway with class.  When Dean hears this he plots to open his own cafe with Leo.
