The TV3 Christmas Toy Show was watched by an average 472,000 viewers on Friday night.

Brian McFadden and Karen Koster hosted the 90-minute show live from the RDS, with the 'aid' of John and Edward Grimes aka Jedward, and an appearance by Louis Walsh's boyband Hometown.

Last year, TV3's half hour toy show pulled an average of 350,900 viewers.

Ryan Tubridy's Late Late Toy show last year had an average of 1.4m viewers, making it the most watched programme of the year.

This year's Late Late Toy Show broadcasts this Friday, November 27 at 9.30pm on RTE One.
