Dylan Byrd (16) won over the nation when he rocked out his bedroom dancing moves for the Britain's Got Talent judges this weekend.
However, he failed to impress judge Alesha Dixon, who buzzed him before he had finished his routine to Jessie J's Bang Bang.
And the transition year student from Cootehill, Cavan, whose BGT fate will be revealed on this week's show, would love another chance to get her on side.
"I did hear the X, but just carried on and pretended it didn’t happen, and then just waited til’ the end to see what Alesha would have to say," he told The Anton Savage Show on Today FM this morning.
"It did annoy me when she hit the X because I wanted to go over there to impress Alesha .To get an X from her was very disappointing."
Dylan wowed the other judges and the audience of 3,000 who rose to their feet to applaud at the end of his routine.
David Walliams described the performance as "brilliant” and Simon Cowell said, “I think the thing is, Dylan, I do find a lot of dance acts quite boring. I think you were great and fun. I don’t understand why Alesha didn’t get you."
Dylan told Anton that he was delighted with Simon’s comments and reaction to his performance, "From a person who is very critical, to get brilliant comments from him [Cowell] was absolutely fantastic."
Whether or not Dylan gets through to the live shows will be revealed on this weekend's show.
Asked where he gets his inspiration from, the 16 year old credits YouTube and dance DVD’s as well as local dance classes, although he told Anton that he likes to make up his own moves in his bedroom.
