It has been mere weeks since Kermit the Frog and Miss Piggy announced they were parting after a whopping 40 years together, but Kermit has already moved on to piggy pastures new.
Kermit has become romantically involved with a new pig. Denise is apparently "always stopping by the set of Up Late," a source told People.
She's head of marketing at ABC and it's a bit awkward because Kermit is still working on Miss Piggy's talk show, Up Late with Miss Piggy.
The whole thing is being documented on the upcoming ABC series of The Muppets.
Kermit has been calling Denise his girlfriend, but it doesn't look like Miss Piggy is too upset by his new romance as she was spotted out and about with Hunger Games star Liam Hemsworth.
He posted a photo of them together to Instagram with the caption, "Spent Friday with the most beautiful girl in the world. Kermit, #SorryNotSorry"
Of his new love, Kermit said, "What can I say? I'm attracted to pigs."
Just three weeks ago Kermit and Miss Piggy took to their Facebook pages to confirm that they had decided to call time on their romance.
“After careful thought, thoughtful consideration and considerable squabbling, Kermit the Frog and moi have made the difficult decision to terminate our romantic relationship,” Miss Piggy wrote.
“We will continue to work together on television (“The Muppets”/Tuesdays 8pm this fall on ABC) and in all media now known or hereafter devised, in perpetuity, throughout the universe. However, our personal lives are now distinct and separate, and we will be seeing other people, pigs, frogs, et al. This is our only comment on this private matter… unless we get the right offer. Thank you for your understanding.”
Kermit posted a near identical statement on his own social networking page, however he claimed that it was his former partner who had made the decision to terminate their relationship.
The Muppets arrives on ABC in the US on September 22.
