The Voice UK: Irish contestants Claudia Rose Long and Sharon Murphy make it through tense battle rounds
It was a roof-raising night for Irish contestants on The Voice UK as Claudia Rose Long and Sharon Murphy both made it through the tense battle rounds.
Seventeen-year-old Claudia Rose from Cork was first up on Team Tom and despite a powerhouse performance she lost her battle with Rosa Lamele (16).
However, both Rita Ora and Ricky Wilson buzzed to steal the talented student for their teams.

Ricky had said he was planning to steal one of the girls if she wasn't chosen by Will so when he buzzed it was clear he had Claudia Rose in mind. She chose to join Team Ricky despite Will.i.am indicating she should join Team Rita.
Galway singer Sharon (52), meanwhile, sailed through her battle to remain on Team Tom. Will.i.am said her voice comes from a "magical place" and that it is "medicine". In typically flowery style, he called her a 'Doctor of Music'.
Sharon had reduced Tom to tears with her first audition and the legendary Welsh said he was looking forward to continuing to work with her.
