The location for the upcoming Irish series of First Dates has been revealed.
There was huge excitement when it was first revealed that First Dates Ireland was coming to Dublin.
And while every effort has been made to keep the details of the show under wraps, it seems that the Gibson Hotel will form the venue for the RTE2 show.
The celebrity haunt – which is where Nadia Forde stayed last weekend – has been a hive of activity in recent weeks as the show starts filming.
Thousands of hopeful singletons applied for the Irish instalment of the programme, which is being made by Coco Productions, and which is expected to be a big hit.
It sees applicants being set up on a blind date with fellow love-seekers, all filmed for our viewing pleasure.
Across the water, hunky French Maitre d’ Fred Sirieix is a huge hit with viewers – with no word yet as to who will take his place on the Irish version of the programme.
Speaking previously about the show, casting producer Sharon Newman said they had some “fantastic potential dates from around the country all looking for love.”
She said that they had received applications from singletons of all ages, who were all looking to meet their perfect partner.
