The Late Late Show and The Ray D'Arcy Show have stellar lineups this weekend
The Late Late Show and Ray D'Arcy Show have stellar lineups this weekend, much to the delight of anyone who's staying home.
On Friday night, Amy Huberman will join host Ryan Tubridy to talk about her latest series Striking Out, alongside co-star Neil Morrissey.
Ahead of Dancing with the Star's debut this weekend, three contenders – Hughie Maughan, Teresa Mannion and Des Cahill – and their dancing partners will be on the show to speak about rehearsals and who has been showing off in rehearsals.
RTE's US corespondent Caitriona Perry will give viewers an insight into what covering the presidential election for the last two years was like, while The Rubberbandits’ Blindboy Boatclub and Can’t Cope, Won’t Cope writer Stefanie Preissner will also join the lineup.
Laura Whitmore is set to appear on The Ray D'Arcy Show this Saturday, alongside Ivan Yates and the Operation Transformation leaders.
The Dubliner will join Ray D'Arcy on the couch to speak about her time on Strictly Come Dancing, her latest project Not Dead Enough and spending the New Year with Niall Horan.
The 31-year-old's appearance follows the "last minute" cancellation of her interview on The Late Late Show in 2015.
"I was booked to go on the Late Late Show a year ago to talk about my child sponsorship with Plan Ireland. I’ve sponsored a little girl for six years in the Philippines,” said Laura on Twitter.
“It was cancelled last minute and I was informed the charity had been told by the producer they don’t like doing ‘those charity pieces’.”
When asked to comment on Whitmore's claims, a spokesperson for RTE said at the time: "The Late Late Show does not comment on editorial decisions."
Following the launch of the tenth series of Operation Transformation on Wednesday, the five new leaders Mairead Redmond, Chris McElligott, Marie Grace, Sean Daly and Yvonne Keenan-Ross will join the lineup for their first TV interview.
Broadcaster and former Fine Gael TD Ivan Yates will also be on the show to discuss what he describes as his 'grey gap year' and will divulge how he recently travelled around America covering 30 states in 100 days.
The Late Late Show this Friday, 9.35pm on RTÉ One.
The Ray D'Arcy Show this Saturday at 9:45pm on RTÉ One.
