Spot the glaring anachronism in this promo pic for new BBC series Poldark
Last year ITV's Downton Abbey set designers were left red-faced when a stray plastic water bottle was left sitting atop a fireplace in a promo shot for the show.
And now BBC can join the club with another glaring anachronism in a promo pic for their glossy new series Poldark.
Eagle-eyed fans spotted a building in the background with a modern-day burglar alarm on the wall, despite the programme being set in the 1700s.
There also appears to be a TV aerial and plastic gutters.
The series stars Irish actor Aidan Turner as Ross Polkdark who returns to Cornwall folowing the American War of Independence only to find his former lover engaged.
The programme managed to draw almost 7m viewers for its first episode and has garnered generally positive reviews from critics.
Poldark continues on Sunday night at 9pm on BBC One.
