Serial love rat Spencer Matthews has quit Made in Chelsea, the reality show that made him famous.

Matthews has been a constant character throughout the ten series of the show, but he has been featuring less and less and is currently filming his final scenes.

The Mirror reports a source as saying, "Spencer has had a brilliant time on Made in Chelsea but this is his time to go.  He is currently in the process of making his own reality programme which is going to be very funny.

"He's had to face a lot of stick for being a ladies' man but now it's time for people to see a different side of Spencer."

Spencer has worked his way through several cast members on the show including Caggie, Louise Thompson, Lucy Watson, Stephanie Prat, and now Lauren Hutton.

He has cheated on every single one, even latest girlfriend Lauren, although she forgave him at the end of the last series and took him back.

Meanwhile, another show regular has called it quits.

Stevie Johnson has been a regular on the show for the past three years but revealed his plans to leave the show in a heartfelt post on his website

"A slightly different post from me today, and a difficult one at that. I’ll try to keep this brief," he wrote.

"Unfortunately, after an incredible three years, I am stepping down from my role on Made In Chelsea. It is a sad moment for me, but I believe [it's] the right decision going forward.

"I cannot offer the show as much as I used to, and whilst I always enjoyed having my whole life on camera for the viewers to see, I don’t want to continue if I can only give 50%."

Stevie did not fly to LA to film the current series with the rest of the cast.

"With the others filming in LA, it seems like the right time to walk away, for both myself and the show. It would be a hard transition to return having sat out of an incredible series abroad," he added.

He said, "I never believed the show would go on to be as successful as it has, and I am privileged to have been a part of it. A massive thank you to everyone one of you that has tuned in to laugh with (or at) us, cry with us, and support us. Sure, it did take a few seasons for people on Twitter to stop calling me asexual, but I got there in the end."

Stevie was the resident nice guy on the show and viewers felt for him when he was dumped by Stephanie Pratt for his best friend Josh Shepherd.  Josh has since dumped Stephanie in LA.

Stevie is now dating publicity Cressida Stewart although he is still living with Made in Chelsea's Oliver Proudlock.
