He's only a week into his high profile job as RTE's new Washington Correspondent but Brian O'Donovan has already proven he's a consummate pro.

During his live report for Monday night's Nine O'Clock news with Sharon Ni Beholain, the background, which initially depicted the White House, flicked to Netflix.

It looked like someone was attempting to access the streaming service via Apple TV which had originally been projecting the background image for the journalist's report.

O'Donovan was completely unfazed, however, and continued his report about the possibility of Oprah Winfrey running for President following her rousing Golden Globes speech on Sunday night.

As she thanked Brian for his report, Sharon added, "And viewers will forgive our own set malfunction there."

Darren Clearly shared the clip on Twitter and people commented to congratulate O'Donovan on his composure.  You can watch the full clip on the RTE Player.
