Some well-known Irish faces are in for a surprise on The Late Late Show this Friday.

Broacaster Maura Derrane, football pundit Eamon Dunphy, comedian Jason Byrne and politician Michael Healy-Rae will climb up their family trees on this week's Late Late Show.

Earlier in the year, they each agreed to have their DNA tested to determine their ancestry and on Friday night they'll discover their roots live on air.

Ancestry.ie’s Mike Mulligan will break the good or bad news.

Can you guess which participant is 100 percent Irish?

Joining them on the show is football legend Paul McGrath, to asses the Republic of Ireland's chances against Wales in their upcoming World Cup Qualifier.

Animal lovers are in for a treat with a live link-up to Dublin Zoo where the newest addition to the zoo's bongo herd will be christened.

Olympian Annalise Murphy will be dropping by following her stint as Grand Marshall at the St Patrick’s Day Parade to chat about how life has been since she captured silver in Rio and her prospects for Tokyo 2020.

A proper St Patrick's Day celebration.
