Irish X-Factor hopeful Janet Grogan wowed all four judges during the closed auditions on Sunday night's show but particularly caught the eye of pop mogul Simon Cowell.
Janet (26) from Kingswood in Tallaght auditioned for Cowell, Louis Walsh, Cheryl Fernandez-Versini, and Mel B with a sultry rendition of Bonnie Raitt's 'I Can't Make You Love Me'.
Janet directed her song at Simon who smiled throughout.
After her performance Louis asked her, "Janet, it looked like you were singing the song to Simon. Were you?" and Janet replied, "I was".
The singer then admitted she liked Simon who told her she had "beautiful eyes" and said, "This is the easiest yes I've given today."
Janet's parents were watching in in the wings as well as her boyfriend of four years, David.
Speaking to the Irish Daily Star, Janet said, "Simon's charming and I ended up being drawn to him... not because I fancied him but because he's such a big name in the music business.
"Then I met him and he has this aura so I did end up singing to him."
Janet is the second Irish contestant to make it through to the arena auditions following Ben Quinlan from Killarney who focused his flirting on Cheryl by giving her a green rose and singing to her whilst holding her hands.
Ella Henderson sits in the corner of an east London restaurant, mulling over a coffee gone cold, and playing with strands of her hair. Having long since ditched the cute vintage look she sported on The X Factor two years ago, she has been more recently "smouldering" in outfits more befitting an emergent pop sophisticate.
