Second season trailer released for Jamie Dornan's 'The Fall'
BBC Two has released the first trailer for the upcoming second season of their hit drama series The Fall starring Jamie Dornan and Gillian Anderson.
Set in Belfast, the series stars Anderson as PSNI Detective Superintendent Stella Gilbson who travels from London's Metropolitan Police Service to help to investigate a series of murders.
Dornan, who returns to The Fall after filming the highly anticipated feature adaptation of Fifty Shades of Grey, plays serial killer Paul Spector.
The second season kicks off from the season one finale. Gibson gets a breakthrough when a personal link from Spector's past reveals some clues but could throw the whole investigation into jeopardy as Spector reacts.
The closer Gibson gets to Spector the more danger she places herself in. In the trailer we see Spector watching over her motionless body.
Speaking to interview magazine earlier this year Dornan hinted that more will be revealed about why Spector is the way he is in season two.
"With the second season of 'The Fall' there is going to be more to him than I planned for," he said.
"It's been over two years -- I haven't stayed in his mind for the entire two years, don't worry -- but when I'm in it, I do feel very comfortable in his skin, and that can only lead to rare things happening."
He added, "Maybe in the second series of 'The Fall' we will find out why Spector is the way he is -- so I don't want to say too much about that. But there are reasons for these people being the way they are, and that's what drives them.
"We're going to see more of Spector, but in a slightly different light."
The series is due to air on BBC Two this autumn.
