Ryan Tubridy stays tight-lipped about this year's Toy Show - but one thing will look different
Broadcaster Ryan Tubridy is scaling back on complex dance routines during this year’s Late Late Toy Show but promises his ensembles will provide plenty of entertainment value.
The hosts say he will be wearing a part of form fitting trousers that are “quite Las Vegas”.
“There will be Christmas shirts and jumpers…[and] I have to wear a particular pair of trousers that are very Rock N Roll, I put them on and was like ‘Woah!’, they are quite Vegas”.
The broadcaster would not reveal any of the details of this year’s theme but promises it will be just as much fun as previous years.
The presenter was speaking at the launch of Saint Vincent De Paul’s Annual Appeal.
This year, the SVP expects 50,000 families to seek its help over the winter months. The Society is seeking donations to help families in need.
Tubridy said the launch of the drive this year was of particular resonance to him given the large number of children facing homelessness.
“This year is the most important year to be here because there are over 3000 children homeless and that makes me angry and sick… Somebody somewhere needs to do something … I’m not a politician but I am a little voice as the ‘Toy Man’ and I have to have their back.
“All the children watching the Toy Show need to know that they are not forgotten.”
