It has been a while since Ray D'Arcy spent quality time with former 'The Den' buddy Socky the Sock Monster and what better occasion than to launch World Down Syndrome Day's 'Lots of Socks' campaign.

Socky, who first appeared on The Den back in 1993, was photographed with Ray and Roisin Killon and 3-year-old Lilly May Killion as well as Conor Cunningham (also 3) for the launch.

It's the 10th anniversary of the day which takes place on March 21st and the Lots of Socks campaign encourages supporters to raise money or create awareness.

There are two options - you can wear odd socks on March 21st and post a footsie (foot selfie) on social media using the #Footsie4SDSI hashtag or simply make a €2 donation by texting DSI to 50300.

The day is about raising awarenss of what Down Syndrome is, what it means to have Down Syndrome, and how popel with Down Syndrome play a vital part in our lives and communities.
