Hugely popular BBC One TV show DIY SOS is about to get even more popular, thanks to the addition of Princes Harry and William.

The show, which sees presenter Nick Knowles head up a team of experts redecorate the homes of families across Britain is taking on a bigger challenge - by renovating an entire street.

The team has spent the past two weeks creating new homes in Manchester for injured army personnel - with the help of Wills and Harry.

Haig Housing and Walking with the Wounded are working with the BBC’s DIY SOS: The Big Build on the epic project which will feature specially adapted and bespoke homes - and a support centre right on the street.

Project manager Mark Millar and electrician Billy Byrne told BBC Breakfast that Harry was "full of banter" and "took the mickey" whilst also pulling his weight on site.

"They really picked the spirit up on site," said Mark.

The project is wrapping up today and has regenerated a run down street with 61 properties which ultimately cost £4m.
