Caitlyn Jenner will appear on Friday night's Late Late Show.

The retired Olympic gold winning medallist and reality TV star will join Ryan Tubridy in the RTE studio to talk about her life-long struggle to come to terms with who she is, her transition from Bruce to Caitlyn and her work on transgender rights.

One year on from voting for President Trump Caitlyn will also discuss her disappointment in his policies including the transgender military ban.

Caitlyn's Irish roots will also be up for discussion. Her mother Esther Maguire is Irish and, of course, she will also discuss the Kardashians and her current relationship with ex-wife Kris and her five children.

We can also expect Tubridy to grill Caitlyn regarding recent speculation about whether or not daughters Kylie and Khloe are pregnant, and whether or not she will reach out to Kim before her third baby arrives via surrogate.

The Late Late Show is running a competition for Caitlyn fans for two tickets to see the interview live in studio on Friday.  Pop over to Facebook for a chance to win.

The high profile interview comes a week after Ibrahim Halawa and Conor McGregor appeared on the show which bagged the highest ratings of the season so far.

Also featuring on Friday night's show will be Hollywood heavyweight Brendan Gleeson, who is in town to promote Paddington 2.  He will also discuss his role in Mr Mercedes, his directing debut, and he'll give his take on the controversies raging across Hollywood.

Pulitzer prize winner Ambassador Samantha Power will also be in studio to talk about how a young girl from Dublin grew up to be the US Ambassador to the United Nations.  She will also reveal how she became Barrack Obama's trusted advisor and how Ireland is still such an important part of her life.

Kevin Doyle will talk about life after football and coming to terms with several concussions that lead to his decision to quit the game.

Comedian Tommy Tiernan will chat to Ryan about his new Vicar St show Under the Influence and what it was like appearing in Dave Allen's biopic, Dave Allen At Peace.

Philomena Begley will chat about her 55 year career in country music and how she made it big in Nashville.

The Late Late Show, RTE One, 9.35pm Friday.
