Niagara Falls light up for Mayo

Former Rose of Tralee Aoibhinn Ní Shúilleabháin will return to her roots when she hosts the global 'Mayo Day' celebrations on Irish TV.

The broadcast will celebrate the vibrancy of Mayo and will feature performances by singer-songwriter Mundy and boyband Hometown.

Minister of State for Tourism Michael Ring, Special Olympics organiser Mary Davis, Dragons' Den star Gavin Duffy, and Mayo Person of the Year James Horan will all appear on the programme.

A variety of event are occurring around the world, including at Niagara Falls - which will be lit up in green and red on Saturday night. "Now it's time to show all the beauty, energy and vibrancy of Mayo," Ms Ní Shúilleabháin said.
