They're enjoying a shiny new Hollywood set, but the Xposé anchors have insisted they will not be bringing their personal lives to the screen like the team at E! News.

Tonight the TV3 entertainment show will unveil its revamped studio and broadcast live for a full hour as part of the changed format.

Going forward it will air from 6pm to 7pm and will more closely resemble E! News with more panel-based features, as well as Xtreme Beauty, Model Files, Daily Star Beauty Buys and more giveaways.

While it may be more similar in style now to Guiliana Rancic and Ryan Seacrest’s daily news programme that is beamed across the world from LA, Karen Koster told Independent.ie that the TV3 crew do not see themselves as the stars.

Viewers will also interact more closely with the show with tweets, social media competitions, and viewer makeovers broadcast on the show.

“We won’t be talking about our own lives on screen, putting ourselves in the story too much – we’re not as self absorbed as those shows,” the mother-to-be said.

New addition Peter O'Riordan will be co-anchor the show with Karen Koster whilst Glenda Gilson, Lisa Canon, and Aisling O'Loughlin will report.

The father-of-one said he’s looking forward to jumping into his new TV3 role.

“The girls are great and banter wise we bounce off each other very well so I’ll be looking to bring maybe a cheekier male perspective to the show,” he said.

“I’ve never done live before, but the girls have been fantastic. I had a good thing going over  at TMZ so I honestly believe that we have something special here at TV3.”

Debbie O’Donnell, Series Producer of Xposé on TV3, said: “The new set is stylish and fresh and Peter brings a cheeky and alternative presenting style that complements the style of the girls.

"Going live allows us to be even more relevant and current and bring the viewers the most up-to-date entertainment and showbiz news as well as a level of interactivity that wasn’t possible before."

Peter is the second male presenter to helm the show.  FM104's Sean Munsanje became the first male presenter in August 2009 when he won Total Exposure, a TV talent search.  He left the role a year later.

Karen Koster will give birth to her first baby early in 2015 but the presenter who will cover her maternity leave has yet to be announced.

Lisa Canon, who got engaged to her Welsh fiance Richard Keatley last October, has revealed she has yet to make any wedding plans due to being so busy with the new look show.

Speaking to the Herald, she said, "We're not going to make any plans for a while yet.  We've got so much going on at Xpose at the moment that I just don't have time to plan anything just yet.

"Once things settle down after a few weeks, then I'll get cracking on the wedding plans."

Fellow presenter Glenda Gilson was absent from the new look Xpose launch due to being on honeymoon in Las Vegas following her recent wedding.
