Naomi Campbell 'joins cast of American Horror Story'
Naomi Campbell will reportedly begin shooting American Horror Story: Hotel next week.
The British model has joined the cast of American Horror Story: Hotel, with TV Line reporting she’ll become instant enemies with Lady Gaga’s character.
Naomi is set to begin shooting next week and will take on the role of a fashion editor. She joins show favourites Matt Bomer, Evan Peters and Kathy Bates. Gaga is also a newcomer to the series.
Executive producer Ryan Murphy recently explained that the new episodes will be a lot darker than the previous.
“[It will be]much more horror-based. It’s… a little bloodier and grislier I think than anything that we’ve done before. It’s straight horror this year,” he revealed.
Catwalk favourite Naomi has recently wowed audiences with her turn as Camilla Marks in Empire, opposite Taraji P. Henson and Terrence Howard.
She has 18 other acting credits to her name too and seems to be trailblazing the way for fellow models to move into the realms of TV and film work.
However, Naomi nearly threw the towel in before being cast by Empire creator Lee Daniels.
“I've known Lee for a long time, but when he asked me to play the role I wasn't sure. I'd kind of given up on acting,” Naomi told Vogue earlier this year.
Her Empire co-stars were more than impressed with the 45-year-old though.
“Well, with Naomi, she's an iconic supermodel. She's beautiful, she's experienced, and she's a legend at what she does,” Bryshere Y. Gray smiled to The Muse.
