Mr Ireland Karl Bowe is a hit on ITV's dating show 'Take Me Out' as he gears up for TV3's 'Red Rock'
Mr Ireland Karl Bowe caused a stir on ITV's popular dating show 'Take Me Out' on Saturday night, but he has revealed that love did not blossom for him and his date.
Bowe (26), who was a member of boyband Element, and will be appearing in TV3's soap Red Rock this month, further raised his profile with an appearance on the show.
Reaction to him was hugely positive with Bowe securing himself a date with stunning blonde Rachel Simmons (25), a dance teacher from London.
The couple spent a week together on a holiday island and viewers will see how they gelled on next week's show.
Speaking to The Irish Daily Star, Bowe said, "I'm very lucky to have met Rachel because she is a beautiful girl and we had wonderful fun together.
"We had lots of chats and alughs and some romance, but basically we both decided that we should remain friends, mainly because of the long distance between us."
Not only did Karl garner appreciation from the girls on the show, but he made quite the impression amongst women on Twitter too with many tweeting him their support.
Karl said he had a "fantastic" experience on the show and added, "it's a great way to raise my profile in the UK".
Karl's scenes on TV3's Red Rock will broadcast this Wednesday 4th February at 8.30pm on TV3.
The handsome native has a guest part in the soap playing the role of an estate agent, Shane O’Connor.
In the explosive episode, Sharon and Paudge encounter trouble while on a call out at a flat complex. There is a dispute over a tenancy agreement, where two tenants are both claiming to hold the lease for the same flat.
A young lady has just moved in and holds a current lease. However an older man, who has lived there for years, has just come out of hospital to find that his house has been rented to someone else.
In a bid to resolve the dispute and get to the bottom of the situation, the estate agent, Shane O’Connor, who leased the flat, is called in to rectify the problem.
Rather than fix the mess, Karl’s character ends up in the middle of a heated argument with both tenants and things turn dangerous as thugs outside target those in the flat.
Previously Karl auditioned for X Factor with Element but failed to make the finals, and last year he missed out on the Mr World competition in the UK when he failed to make the top 10.
