Moe Dunford and Maria Doyle Kennedy among new cast for Striking Out second series

Patrick's Day star Moe Dunford and Irish actress Maria Doyle Kennedy are among the new faces joining RTE series Striking Out.

The first series, which starred Amy Huberman as a Dublin-based solicitor, aired in January this year and will return early next year for a second season of six episodes.

Huberman, who earned an IFTA for her role, will return as will  Tara Rafferty, with familiar faces from the first series including Rory Keenan, Neil Morrissey, Emmet Byrne, and Fiona O'Shaughnessy.

Dunford and Doyle Kennedy, most recently seen in Eastenders spin-off Redwater, will join the cast with Charlotte Bradley, Owen McDonnell, Adam Fergus of Clean Break fame and Paula star Jane Brennan.

Created by James Phelan the second series is written by Rob Heyland, Anna McPartlin and Mick Collins. The second series will be directed by Lisa James Larsson and Simon Massey.
