'Married at First Sight' tv couple divorce after 3 weeks...as groom is spotted on Tinder
A couple who wed as two complete strangers for tv show 'Married at First Sight' have gone their separate ways less than a month after their union, as the groom was caught using popular dating app Tinder.
Jason Knowles and Kate Stewart had barely set eyes on each other when they said 'I Do' at the altar.
The pair were matched together by the programme's producers who analysed their personality tests in a bid to find the secret to a lasting marriage.
Last night, a pre-recorded episode of the Channel 4 show revealed that the couple had parted ways just three weeks after their ceremony in February.
Kate (31) and Jason (34) had spent three days in Ireland on their honeymoon after their whirlwind nuptials.
Financial adviser Jason revealed to audiences that the marriage was annulled after the ceremony as the couple never consummated the union.
Jason added that due to their opposite working schedules, they rarely saw each other.
Soon after the wedding, a friend of Kate's told her that she had seen Jason on Tinder.
Fitness instructor Kate made the decision to end the marriage, after Jason failed to turn up at a relationship counselling session they were scheduled to attend.
"It was probably more from my side than hers that it didn’t work," Jason admitted to the Mail Online.
"It’s not that I didn’t want to give it a go but I just definitely wasn’t feeling the feelings you should feel at the start of the relationship. I made a decision after the honeymoon to end things."
“She had a rant at me. At the end of the conversation she said, By the way, you swiped right on one of my friends and I'm leaving!'”
