Love/Hate: Elmo's digging a very big hole this week - literally
It's like a scene from Goodfellas as Elmo (Laurence Kinlan) digs a large body-sized hole in Love/Hate this week.
The upcoming third episode of season five looks set to be brimming with tension as earlier this week a clip was released showing Nidge getting increasingly irked by Siobhan's new relationship with his rival, Pauley.
Nidge spots Siobhan and Pauley hand-in-hand in the pub as Tommy lies in hospital, and a clearly furious Nidge says to Elmo, "Bleedin rubbin me nose in it now".
The gangster kingpin confronts Siobhan when she's worse for wear and she's then seen standing on the edge of the roof of a building, clearly contemplating jumping.
She is also seen talking to Moynihan who tells her that Pauley will have her killed in a second, to which she replies, "I know".
Given Elmo was with Nidge when the confrontation took place, could he be digging a grave for Pauley? Or has Nidge, or Pauley, cottoned on to Siobhan's double-dealings?
The last episode saw Fran attack Nidge when he visited him in prison, and he swore he would kill Nidge and nothing would stop him because Nidge was responsible for the pipe bomb attack that killed his wife Linda.
Either way, someone is in the firing line, unless Elmo has taken up gardening. We wouldn't blame him, with all the stress.
