Love Island's Camilla tried to explain feminism to Johnny - it ended in tears
It looks like Camilla's budding romance with Johnny is on the rocks on Love Island after they locked horns over the issue of feminism.
The Scottish contestant, who is an explosive ordnance disposal expert and has previously been linked to Prince Harry, was horrified when she realised Johnny does not believe in feminism and thinks women have equality and "almost already have more opportunities" than men.
The conversation began when Johnny revealed he always pays during dates and said he never allowed his ex girlfriend to pay for anything during their five years together.
He said he would feel "almost emasculated" if a woman paid for something and asked Camilla, "You're a feminist aren't you?" to which she replied, "Shouldn't we all be feminists?"
Johnny then continued by stating that feminism "believes in almost inequality" and added, "The majority of feminists, real feminists, believe in almost a slope towards them, rather than towards men."
Camilla attempted to school him in the concept of feminism by pointing to the lack f women in high-powered jobs.
The fact that the UK currently has a female prime minister meant, to Johnny, that Camilla's point was invalid and he said, "women almost have more opportunities".
Retreating to the Love Island diary room, Camilla said, "I feel like so many people, men and women, have struggled to move the feminist movement forward and it is about achieving equality regardless of gender, I feel extremely strongly about defending that."
Viewers took to Twitter to praise Camilla for her stance, even the show's voiceover artist, Iain Stirling.
