Latest Roseanne episode paid tribute to late Irish actor Glenn Quinn who starred in original
The latest episode of Roseanne has paid tribute to the Irish actor Glenn Quinn who played Becky's boyfriend in the original series.
The second episode of the ABC reboot featured a card after the credits which included a photo of the actor with the caption, "Dedicated to the loving memory of Glenn Quinn (1970-2002)".
The episode featured Becky's battle with infertility and her character revealed that she had been trying to have a baby with her husband Mark and that she would never find "anyone as good" as him after he died.
Glenn, who was originally from Cabinteely, but moved to LA in 1988 with his mother after his parents' divorce, played Mark in the original series until it wrapped in 1997.
He died in 2002 of an accidental drug overdose.
Fellow Roseanne star Michael Fishman, who plays DJ Conner, also paid tribute to Glenn on Twitter.
"Glenn and family are frequently on my mind. We put his picture in the hallway we pass each day," he wrote, adding, "After my #Roseanne press tour today drove down and visited him.
"As long as @RoseanneOnABC is on Glenn Quinn is part of it.
