Kirsty Gallacher leaves Sky Sports after 20 years
Kirsty Gallacher has quit Sky Sports.
The 42-year-old broadcaster has called time on her job with the channel after 20 years and said she will be concentrating on "new projects".
Kirsty tweeted: "After 20 wonderful years, I’ve decided to leave @SkySports to concentrate on some exciting, new projects.
"I can't wait for @socceraid on @ITV next month. Thank you to all at @SkyUK you’ve been amazing! I will miss you."
She added in a statement: "I have had 20 wonderful years at Sky and will leave with the best memories. I am excited to start a new chapter."
Sky said everyone "will miss her greatly" and they "wish her every success in the future".
Last year Kirsty was slapped with a two-year driving ban after she blew almost three times over the legal limit on a breathalyser test when she was stopped by police in Eton, Berkshire.
Kirsty appeared at East Berkshire Magistrates' Court in Slough at the beginning of September last year to plead guilty to drink-driving.
She took the breathalyser after she went to collect her car the morning after a night of drinking when she did not realise she was still over the limit. She had taken a taxi home the previous evening.
She was undergoing a divorce from husband Paul Sampson at the time.
Earlier this year fellow Sky Spots presenter Natalie Sawyer also left the channel.
