She may be the new host of 'Ireland's Got Talent' but Lucy Kennedy has admitted she would never let her children audition for the new series.

The TV presenter (41) insisted she's not a stage mum and would like her children Holly (5), Jack (3) and nine-month-old Jess to have more "secure" careers when they grow up.

When asked if she would let Holly audition for the show, Lucy replied: "Absolutely not."

"Holly is becoming a lawyer or an accountant. She will not be following in my path.

"I am not a showbiz mum," she said.

"She had one day with me to help the children and then she's going back to school. I would encourage her to pick a more secure career."

Kennedy was speaking at the launch of Cheerios Childline Breakfast 2017.

Participants can register today at childlinebreakfast.ie or text RISE to 50300 to donate €4.

"Holly launched it with me. It's important for children as well to see my daughter helping out," she said.
