Kathryn Thomas trading bootcamp for blind auditions as The Voice returns
Kathryn Thomas is gearing up to trade her new bootcamp, which has finished for the summer, for the early blind auditions of The Voice.
Kathryn has spent the summer making a success of her bootcamp and has just finished an eight-week stint with clients in Sheen Falls in Kenmare.
"With about eight hours of exercise a day, it is a tough week both physically and emotionally," she wrote in her Irish Daily Star Column.
"The weight loss has been amazing and altogether my clients have shed just under 57 stone!"
However, it's back to the "day job" as RTE talent show The Voice, which Kathryn presents, is gearing up for a fifth season.
"I cannot believe we will be back to the blind auditions for the hit RTE show already," she said.
"We uncovered amazing talent last year in Patrick James (formerly Patrick Donoghue) and I have no doubt we will do the same again this time round when The Voice is back on the box next January."
Patrick (24) released his debut single, 'Redemption Days' last month and revealed he had lost 2.5 stone and was changing his name from Donoghue to James.
Kathryn is hoping the same coaches will return for this series.
"The line-up of coaches have yet to be announced but I would love to see last year's team of Rachel Stevens, Una Foden, Bressie and Kian Egan return."
However, The Irish Sun reports that Kian may have been approached by X Factor New Zealand bosses to join their judging panel.
The Voice is currently looking for applications from singers interested in participating in the show. Applicants can do so here: www.rte.ie/thevoice until August 30.
