Rapper Ja Rule has taken to Twitter to address the two new documentaries about the doomed Fyre Festival.

Netflix's Fyre: The Greatest Party that Never Happened and Hulu's rival doc, Fyre Fraud, both sought to expose the monumental mismanagement of the event by the organisers, particularly co-founder Billy McFarland.

McFarland was eventually sentenced to six years in jail for defrauding ticket buyers and investors.

Ja Rule features in both documentaries as one of the co-founders, although he was not involved beyond the initial idea stage and participating in the infamous promo video for Fyre, which features prominently in the Netflix documentary.

“I love how [people] watch a doc and think they have all the answers…” he wrote on Twitter.  When somebody said they had seen both documentaries, he added, "And you still don't know s***."

Both documentaries have come under fire for their motivations, since the Hulu doc makers reportedly paid Billy McFarland an undisclosed sum for an interview.

The Netflix film, meanwhile, was made with Jerry Media, who were employed to promote the festival.  Director Chris Smith had access to revealing footage from a daily vlog from one of the Jerry Media partners.

Ja Rule takes issue with both films and claims he lost 'plenty' of money.

“Hulu PAID BILLY!!! That money should’ve went to the Bahamian ppl Netflix PAID f*** Jerry the same guys that did the promo for the festival…” Ja Rule tweeted, again with a head-slap emoji.

He added, "I NEVER MADE OR GOT PAID ONE DOLLAR FROM FYRE... BUT EVERYONE ELSE DID!!!" and said, "I too was hustled, scammed, bamboozled, hood winked, lead astray!!!"

Here are some of Ja Rule's tweets:
