‘I’ve been missing rehearsals’ – Peter Andre’s Strictly glitterball hopes may be fading

Peter Andre has been wowing the judges on Strictly Come Dancing but his reign at the top of the leader board could be in danger.
Writing in his New! magazine column, the Mysterious Girl singer admitted the hit BBC One dance show has taken a back seat to his album promotion.
“Life is really full-on at the moment," he wrote.
"I’ve been missing some Strictly rehearsals - which isn’t great - as I’m still busy promoting my album, but I can’t really complain because it reached the top five in the charts.”

It seems Andre is feeling gutted he can't dedicate as much time to the show as he needs - or properly celebrate his album's success.
“I haven’t actually had time to celebrate its success as I’ve had no days off over the past three weeks.
"I even had to take a meeting about my Come Swing With Me tour next year in a helicopter while I was flying up to Manchester to turn on the Trafford Centre Christmas lights.
"It’s been hard not to devote all my time to dancing.
"When the competition is over, as long as I can look back at my performances and say, ‘That was really good,’ that’s all that matters to me.”
The lack of rehearsals may already be taking a toll as last week judge Craig Revel Horwood said he worried Andre was going to be an "also-ran" in the competition.
"Technically he’s very good, but he needs to stand out from the crowd more," he said.
"I’d be worried if I were him. He’s missing the 'It' factor – and I want to see him fly, not fail."
Andre slipped to sixth spot on the leader board after his middle-of-the-road foxtrot with Janette Manrara.
They had topped the leader board on the first week.
