X Factor judges come in all shapes, sizes and guises, but the latest rumour is a particularly odd one.
Simon Cowell has been courting rapper Snoop Dogg for a role as a judge on the upcoming series of X Factor, according to Snoop himself.
Speaking to the Sun, the rapper (currently calling himself Snoop Lion) said, “Never rule out me being a judge, I have had more than one discussion with Simon.”
Snoop (42) has been banned from several countries (from Norway to the UK to Australia for various periods of time), and is not averse to the odd expletive-laden Twitter rant (remember his beef with Iggy Azalea?).
In 2013, Snoop and Wiz Khalifa were banned from a high school in California where they were shooting a promo because they were smoking weed.
So, it's probably safe to say he's not exactly who you might imagine would be a great fit for prime time family entertainment viewing.
None of the judges - Louis Walsh, Mel B, Cheryl Fernandez Versini, and Simon Cowell - have been confirmed to return this year so Snoop could replace any one of them.
Singer Azealia Banks last night went on a Twitter rant which included homophobia and racism, calling TI a "c**n", Perez Hilton a f**got and saying she wanted to 'throw a jar of p*ss' over rival Iggy Azalea.
