Irish Harry Potter star Evanna Lynch tipped for Dancing With the Stars US

Irish actress Evanna Lynch is being tipped to join the line-up of the upcoming series of Dancing With the Stars in the US.

The 27-year-old who, who is best known for playing Luna Lovegood in the Harry Potter film franchise, is reportedly set to join season 27 of the hit ABC show when it starts later this month.

US Weekly reports that Evanna will join singer Tinashe, and Nancy McKeon, who is already confirmed for the line-up.  Other names in the mix include Mary Lou Retton, Bobby Bones, Alexis Ren, John Schneider, DeMarcus Ware, Danelle Umstead and Juan Pablo Di Pace.

Also, Entertainment Tonight reported that Disney star Milo Manheim will be paired up with professional dancer Witney Carson.

The full cast will be confirmed on Good Morning America later today.

The show is hosted by Tom Bergerson with Erin Andrews and judges are Len Goodman, Carrie Ann Inaba and Bruno Tonioli.

Evanna had little acting experience before she landed the coveted role of Luna in Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix in 2007.  She went on to appear in three more Potter films.

The Drogheda actress has starred in several TV series and films since she wrapped on Harry Potter, including a starring role in My Name is Emily, which was written and directed by the late Simon Fitzmaurice.

Evanna is also a vegan activist, animal rights activist, and hosts a podcast.
