The Irish dad who filmed his entire Las Vegas trip the wrong way around on a GoPro camera has revealed he's in talks to appear on The Ellen Show.

Joseph P Griffin was given a GoPro to film the trip by his son Evan, but didn't realise the camera was pointing the wrong way the entire time.

The hilarious video of Joseph's head has been watched almost 8 million times on YouTube and the story covered across the world from The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon to a piece in the New York Times.

"We had a Skype meeting with the Ellen De Generes Show about a visit to Ellen," Joseph told Anton Savage on TodayFM.

"But nothing is confirmed yet.  They can't fit us into their Christmas schedule.  I can't fit them into mine!"

Joseph's ineptitude proved lucrative as both he and Evan were given an all expenses paid trip to Las Vegas by The Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority so that they could film the city's landmarks properly.

Joseph revealed his wife saved for two years for their original trip in September, which was to celebrate her birthday although the free trip was only offered to Joe and Evan.

"To give her her due she was miffed but she was thrilled for us especially for [Evan], first time," said Joe, who has just returned from the second trip.

"It was my first time in the States," added Evan.  "I set the bar pretty high!".
