'I'm in a bag of bits' - everyone loved emotional RTE marriage referendum doc The Story of Yes last night
It was a wonderful piece of life-affirming TV which drove many viewers to tears of happiness and pride.
Last night's RTE documentary, The Story of Yes, celebrated the first anniversary of the marriage referendum by looking back at the hopes and fears about, but ultimate celebration of, the day Ireland said 'yes' to marriage equality.
Told through the eyes of those to whom it married most - the LGBT community and their families - it was a powerful piece of TV choc full of emotion.
From YouTube star Riyah Khalaf to secondary student Safia O'Gorman talking about life with her dads Colm O'Gorman and his husband Paul Fyffe it was a hugely compelling watch.
We also met Aoife O'Driscoll and Anna McCarthy Adams who were trying to get pregnant via IVF and had to face a barrage of 'no' campaign posters going up across the country at the same time.
And, of course, there was the #hometovote crew who jetted and sailed in to lend their support.
You can watch it on the RTE Player HERE
