UTV Ireland viewers were furious last night as the marathon opening episode of I'm a Celebrity: Get Me Out Of Here! was cut right before the contestants for the first Bushtucker Trial were announced.

Twitter was on fire with unhappy fans as the episode cut to Graham Norton just as Ant and Dec were about to reveal that Jorgie and Lady Colin were up for the Bushtucker.

It was hugely frustrating given the revelation was the climax of the two hour show.

UTV Ireland apologised to viewers via Twitter last night, "Apologies to our viewers for the technical issues at the end of I'm A Celebrity. Lady Colin & Jorgie Porter will take part in the next trial".

Michael Wilson, Managing Director, UTV Television today issued a statement blaming a "technical problem" and apologizing again.

“We can only apologise for cutting short I’m a Celebrity last night, due to a technical problem with our transmission," he said.

"It shouldn’t have happened and I am very sorry that viewers missed the vital last minutes of the programme. The full episode is available on the UTV Player and we look forward to bringing viewers the Bushtucker trial with Lady Colin and Jorgie Porter tonight at 9pm.”
