Dancing With The Stars host Amanda Byram is hoping a few well-known faces will put on their dancing shoes for series two.

Although the green light has not yet been given to another series, the Dublin native said she would do it "without a shadow of a doubt" and evn has her eyes set on a few Irish celebrities who she would like to see take part.

"I'd love Jason Byrne to do it, he's fantastic. I'd love Brian O'Driscoll and Amy Huberman to do it, but of course I don't know," she told

"Bryan Dobson would be pretty much out of his comfort zone, so I think he'd be great. I would love Miriam O'Callaghan to do it with her legs. I'd love to see those legs in a little mini skirt."

The former model also said that she would love to take part in the show if she wasn't the host.

"I used to say to the  girls during rehearsals that I was so jealous of them. I'd love to be able to dance, but I'm a rubbish dancer.

"I did a little, tiny cameo in the final show in the opening act and it took me all week to learn that little, tiny bit, but I felt so euphoric. I thought I would love to do this so much."

Dancing With The Stars was a huge ratings and commercial winner for RTE, earning an estimated €500,000 each week.

Byram was speaking to before walking the 35th VHI Women's Mini Marathon alongside her mother. The popular tv personality is raising money for the Down Syndrome Centre in Meath, which looks after her young nephew Elliot.

"It's 33,000 women running or walking or crawling or whatever it is you need to do to cross that finish line and about empowering each other along the way.

"We're doing it together and we're going to take our time. I want to talk to chat to everyone along the way. It'll probably take me five hours to finish this."
