'I don't know how Louis could comment on acts he doesn't know' - Cheryl slams idea of Louis as X Factor guest judge
There is no love lost between Cheryl Fernandez Versini and former fellow X Factor judge Louis Walsh, and Cheryl is the latest to take a pop in their relentless war of words.
Regarding rumours that Louis (63) will return to the X Factor (he was axed after 11 years ahead of the new series) as a guest judge, Cheryl (31) is adamant it's a bad idea.
"I read about the rumours that Louis is coming back," she told the Daily Mirror.
"I thought it was just a rumour, then someone told me he was on TV talking about it as a possibility. I have not been told it's a possibility."
Louis has repeatedly said it is a possibility that he will return as a guest.
He was replaced on the panel by BBC Radio One presenter Nick Grimshaw while Rita Ora replaced Mel B. Cheryl has been full of praise for the new additions.
"I'm absolutely in love with them, so I don't know how Louis could comment on acts he doesn't know," she added.
" He doesn't know anybody, so I don't know how that would work out. I'm going to make some phone calls..."
Cheryl's comments come in the wake of a tirade from Louis against her on Steph and Dom's recent Gogglebox spin-off show.
"She's very ambitious, she's not there for the music," he said. Regarding her lengthy surname he added, "Let's just call her Cheryl, let's just call her 'C'. C is a good word for her."
Plans for the X Factor live shows are still being finalised so it is possible that guest judges will be brought in to shake things up as ratings continue to decline.
A show source revealed to the paper that they may have a "music legend" join the panel as well as an "impartial judge".
