Great British Bake Off final - everything you need to know for tonight
What time and when is the Great British Bake Off final on BBC1 tonight and who is favourite to win?
Tonight's final will see one of Nadiya, Tamal or Ian crowned the 2015 Bake Off Champion. Here's our guide to the season's climax
When is the Bake Off Final on?
The final to the 2015 Great British Bake Off is on Wednesday 7 October at 8.00pm, on BBC One.
Who's in the final?
After nine weeks of cakes, bakes and 'Cecil the lion' bread, we're now down to the creme de la creme of amateur bakers - David Cameron's favourite, 30-year-old Nadiya Hussain; trainee anaesthetist and Twitter heart-throb, Tamal Ray; and the Dalai Lama's friend, photographer Ian Cummings.
Who's going to win?
Nadiya and Ian have won Star Baker three times each, with the former going into the final in fine form, having scooped the award in the last two weeks.
Tamal has been Mr Consistent and, with just one Star Baker win to his name, may be the dark horse of this year's final. The best bet, however, is to back Nadiya.
What is the theme for the final?
There isn't an overall theme as such - the signature challenge is iced buns and for the technical challenge, the contestants should try and master something they've previously struggled with.
However, those who have complained that the Bake Off has become outrageously PC will be soothed by the showstopper that ends the series - the finalists must bake a classic British cake.
I can't believe it's over for another year - is this really the end?
Not quite. The Great British Bake Off: an Extra Slice will be tucking into the series on Friday 9 October at 9.00pm on BBC Two. Also, Paul Hollywood and Mary Berry are fronting four masterclass shows, starting on October 12 at 7.00pm on BBC Two.
