Grand Theft Auto makers slam BBC drama as ‘random, made up bo****ks’
THE makers of the hugely popular video game Grand Theft Auto have slammed a BBC drama about them.
BBC drama ‘The Gamechangers’, starring Daniel Radcliffe, was broadcast last night.
It focuses on the company Rockstar Games in 2002, the period between GTA: Vice City and its sequel GTA: San Andreas.
During this time US lawyer Jack Thompson launched a legal action against the makers of the game claiming it had a negative impact on its young players.
On its official Twitter account, the company sent two tweets to the BBC during the broadcast of the drama.
The first tweet said: “This new Rentaghost isn't as good as I remember"
While the second said: “Was Basil Brush busy? What exactly is this random, made up bo****ks?”
