Game of Thrones dominates Emmy nominations with 23 nods – see the full list

Game of Thrones has done it again.

The hit fantasy series leads the pack at the 68th Emmy Awards with a massive 23 nominations.

The People v OJ Simpson: American Crime Story comes just behind with 22 nominations.

This year will also be notable as the first year the acclaimed drama series The Americans was acknowledged by the Emmys in major categories.

The nominations were announced Thursday morning by Gilmore Girls star Lauren Graham and Black-ish's Anthony Anderson.

The 2016 Emmy Awards will take place in Los Angeles on September 18 and will be hosted by Jimmy Kimmel.
