It's like a scene from a Hollywood action movie, but it actually features in tonight's 25th anniversary episode of RTE soap Fair City.
Carol and Dan are forced to run for their lives when they blow up Dan's car in an effort to destroy drugs hidden inside - as Garda sirens blare on approach.
After learning of Robbie’s deceit, Carol quickly tries to track down Dan before the guards find him. She figures out Dan’s whereabouts from Yvonne and sets off to find him in her van.
Carol arrives in the nick of time and she convinces Dan not to stick around because the guards are on their way. Dan is not satisfied to run until he puts Robbie in the guilty seat so he and Carol conjure up a plan.
Dan and Carol decide to clear up all traces of drugs by setting Dan’s car on fire and, by the time the guards arrive. Dan’s car is engulfed in flames.
The Bonnie and Clyde duo are forced to hide in the back of Carol’s van until the guards seal off the area and leave.
With their adrenalin pumping at their close escape, they find themselves kissing passionately. One thing leads to another but after they sleep together they're disgusted with themselves and agree to keep quiet about it.
