Fowl play: Laura Tobin's live weather forecast interrupted by 'naughty chick'

By Sherna Noah

The forecaster’s report did not go exactly to plan when the creature pooed on her.

Good Morning Britain’s weather presenter Laura Tobin got more than she bargained for when she held up a chick during a live broadcast.

The forecaster’s report did not go exactly to plan as midway through, while cradling the fluffy chick in her hands, she exclaimed: “It just pooed on me.”

Laura, 35, had begun her forecast by saying how “excited” she was to be with the animals, which included rabbits, ducklings, goats and lambs, at Bocketts Farm in Surrey.

She said she had named the yellow chick she was holding after her.

“This little chick here is about five days old, but it’s not got a name yet so I call her Laura,” she said.

“We’re not 100% sure that it’s a girl but we’re going with it anyway.

“Weather-wise, it isn’t looking too bad either. Lots of dry weather as we head through the next few days…..” she said, before the animal suddenly left a deposit on her hand.

Laura regained her composure to continue her forecast before she told hosts Kate Garraway and Eamonn Holmes: “It’s definitely a boy.”

Poor Laura, next time she’ll wear gloves.
