Presenters Marty Whelan and Sinead Kennedy have announced the lucky first five players to appear on the first show of the new season of Winning Streak.

The players from Down, Cork, Laois, Louth and Waterford will appear on the show this Saturday and have the chance to win up to €500,000 on the Grand Prize.

The players are: Kenneth Hoey on behalf of his father Michael Hoey from Portarlington, Co. Laois, Eileen O’ Sullivan from Ballydehob, Co. Cork,  Liam Finegan from Drogheda, Co. Louth, Sandra Keenan from Newry, Co. Down, and Ian Barry from Tramore, Co. Waterford.

Europe's longest running TV gameshow brings back games including Cash Cubes, Patience, Money Match, Pick a Prize, Trapdoor, Wheel Reveal, andthe Grand Prize Wheel.

However, there are some new additions.  Two players may have the chance to spin the Grand Prize Wheel and win up to half a million euro each.

One Golden Spin symbol will be hidden at random in the Wheel Reveal game and if a player is lucky enough to reveal the Golden Spin during the game, they automatically get to spin the Grand Prize Wheel at the end of the show.

The remaining four players will play out Wheel Reveal and as always, the first player to reveal three wheels will also get to spin for a chance at half a million euro.

In order to be in with a chance of bagging a spot on the show, players must reveal three stars on a €3 Wining Streak scratch card and submit it to the National Lottery in a Winning Streak envelope, available at all National Lottery retail agents.

The cards also offer the chance to win up to €50,000 on the spot.

A third of all National Lottery games benefit good causes across the country and the National Lottery has raised over €4.5 billion for good causes so far.

Winning Streak returns to RTÉ One this Saturday, 20th June at 8.15pm.
