The latest episode of Fair City is set to have viewers on the edge of their seats, as Flynn creeps up on a shocked Carol touting a gun.

The terrifying incident unfolds in the Station bar as Robbie, Paul and Niamh (played by Karl Shiels, Tony Tormey and Cleila Murphy) agree to go out for a few drinks.

At the behest of Paul, the group decide to hit a club.

As they are getting ready, Carol (Aisling O'Neill) - who has been comforted by Robbie telling her that her issues with Flynn (Don Baker) are over - is left in the pub alone.

Flynn, unbeknownst to anyone else, lets himself into the pub, locking the door behind him.

Creeping up towards her, Carol is left frozen as she sees Flynn's reflection in the mirror behind her holding a gun.

Elsewhere, Cathal (Eric Lalor) locks Debbie (Niamh Daly) into the basement of the hotel after she stumbles across a safe full to the brim with money.

A flustered Cathal becomes worried that Debbie has seen too much and locks her into the room. Cathal later returns to the basement to inform her that she won't be leaving the room until everything dodgy is cleared out, telling her to get comfortable.

Separately, Paul is left shocked after Niamh reveals she hasn't ruled out having more kids.

When he admits he didn't consider it, Niamh attempts to cover her tracks.
