Emmerdale stars to challenge Irish competitors in Wobbly Weekender charity fundraiser
Fancy pitting yourself against some of the stars of Emmerdale to raise cash for charity?
Emmerdale stars will jet in to Ireland this summer to take part in the Wobbly Weekend fundraiser for two charities.
Stars and members of the production team will go head to head with members of the public in a host of events and challenges across Friday June 10 and Saturday June 11.
These will include The Night Golf Challenge at Citywest while Naas Racecourse will play host to a 5k and 10k run.
Also a U Have Talent competition will be launched in the run up to the weekender and will culminate in a Final Scene at the closing gala dinner on Saturday June 11 at the Citywest Hotel.
Emmerdale cast members Chris Chittell and Michelle Hardwick, who play Eric Pollard and Vanessa Woodfield, launced the Weekender in Dublin on Thursday.
Funds raised from the Wobbly Weekender, which is being held in partnership with UTV Ireland, will be shared between two charities, Funding Neuro and Cancer Fund for Children.
Set up by Brn Williams, Funding Neuro supports the work of Professor Steven Gill, a neurosurgeon who has developed a pioneering method of treating conditions including Parkinson's Alzheimer's, Motor Neurone Disease, Multiple Scleroses and DIPG brain tumours prevalent in children.
Cancer Fund for Children offers lifeline services to families affected by cancer across Ireland, including short, therapeutic breaks at its Daisy Lodge at the Mourne Mountains in Co Down.
